There is NO guarantee of results as everyone’s result will vary due to skin type, lifestyle and the initial care and long term care of your eyebrow tattoo.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Immediately after the procedure, your brows will appear to be darker and bolder in colour and the hair strokes will be sharply defined.

  • Some experience minor discomfort, redness and swelling.  These symptoms usually subside within 48 hours.

  • Minimal scabbing or flaking of the skin may occur. If there is scabbing, DO NOT pick! Allow it to flake off on it’s own. Picking can cause scarring and loss of pigment.

  • Your tattoo will soften and lighten as your skin naturally exfoliates.

  • Once the skin sheds, a shiny layer of skin may appear. It may look as though the tattooed area has disappeared. Within a couple of weeks, the tattoo will slowly come back as your skin regenerates.

  • The complete healing process takes about 6-8 weeks however, the visible layer of skin appears healed after two weeks.

  • Do not expect your eyebrows to heal perfectly after the first session.  Most skin types require two sessions to achieve desired results.

  • Touch-ups are scheduled NO sooner than 6-8 weeks after the first session.

  • Results vary depending on the clients skin type and aftercare. Oily skin types generally heal more solid and powdery, where dry skin types heal clean and crisp.

  • Those who bleed more may need more touch ups.

  • As the tattoo fades, the strokes will start to look lighter and less defined.

  • Semi permanent eyebrow tattoos typically last 1 to 3 years depending on what pigment is used, how you take care of your brows and skin type.

THINGS TO AVOID DURING THE HEALING PROCESS

  • Steam rooms, saunas, hot tubs, and swimming pools for 2 weeks.

  • Avoid soaps, cleansers, shampoo and conditioner from getting on your brows in the shower while healing.

  • No direct water on your brows for two weeks. Use a facecloth or oil-free makeup wipe to remove your makeup.  Avoid the eyebrows.

  • Sun exposure or tanning beds while healing.

  • No makeup on or around your brows for two weeks.

  • Vaseline, Neosporin or any other petroleum based products while healing.

  • Anti-acne products such as Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic Acid, Proactiv, etc.

  • lightening creams such as hydroquinone to the treated area.

  • Anti-aging products or facial products containing Alpha Hydroxyls (AHAs), Retin-A, Lactic or Glycolic Acids

  • Threading, tweezing or waxing the area while healing.

  • Exercising and/or sweating for 10 days.

  • Facials, massage, skin treatments and lash fills while healing.

  • Bleaching or tinting your eyebrows for one month.

LONG TERM CARE

  • Exposure to the sun and tanning can cause fading and discolouration of the pigment.  Once your tattoo is completely healed, use SPF 50 to protect your brows.

  • Chemical exfoliants must be kept away from your eyebrow tattoo, these chemicals can cause fading.

  • If you are having laser resurfacing or laser hair removal after your tattoo has fully healed, please inform the laser technician.  Laser procedures can lighten or discolour the tattoo.

  • 9-24 month touch ups are recommended to maintain desired results.

  • As the tattoo fades the strokes will start to look lighter and less defined.

  • Semi permanent eyebrow tattoos typically last 1 to 3 years depending on what pigment is used, how you take care of your brows and skin type.
